Many congratulations to Liz Gardiner, a very worthy winner of the NHS Online 'Monte Santo Villa" Competition.

I started at Barnet & Chase Farm NHS Trust in April 2001 as a Staff Bank Officer booking temporary nurses to cover for permanent staff who are unable to attend their shift. I was promoted to Office Manager approximately six years ago and I’m still here!

I currently have twelve staff reporting to me who cover a wide variety of tasks including recruiting and booking nurses, doctors and clerical staff for temporary work through the bank. Sourcing and placing agency staff. Processing timesheets and invoices for payment and producing reports to supply information to various departments.

So the work is interesting and challenging and certainly very demanding!

I always go home feeling like I’ve done a hard days work.

I enjoy the culture of the hospital and people who work here are hardworking and committed.
